Blueant Q1 Voice Bluetooth Headset Review

December 8, 2009

Intimidated with technology? Never used a bluetooth before? Maybe you’re just not sure how to set one up because the instructions aren’t easy to follow. Want a bluetooh headset that actually talks to you and helps you through everything?

The revolutionary BlueAnt Q1 Voice Controlled Bluetooth Headset with Multipoint takes Bluetooth headsets to the next level of comfort and handsfree experience. The BlueAnt Q1 uses advanced Voice Recognition software to allow you to easily control the headset and many phone functions just by talking to it. Thats all there is to it, talk to it and it will talk to you.

From the first time you turn it on and it walks you through setting it up and sync’ing it to your phone step by step straight through to simply saying answer or ignore when you recieve a call or in my opinion one of the best features, the Q1 actually reads out the phone number of incoming calls so you dont even have to look at the phone to see if you should respond with “answer” or “ignore”.

I had forgotten this part in my review so Blueant kindly left it as a comment for me to add.  The new design promises to “virtually eliminate” wind and road noise, handling wind speeds up to 10 miles per hour. It also boasts dual microphone wind noise reduction, echo cancellation, and digital signal processing software for clearer voices.

Be prepared though, if you go out of range and lose signal with the cell phone the voice from the Q1 will let you know and when you’re not expecting it you can get caught off guard quite easily lol .The BlueAnt Q1 is an absolute must have headset. the BlueAnt Q1 hsa dual mic’s and superior Voice isolation technology (an advanced software solution that separates the user’s voice from all other sounds resulting in outstanding call quality, no matter where you are or whats going on around you).

The BlueAnt Q1 headset offers users with a range of features such as

– Use your voice to control the Q1 – no more complicated button combinations to remember and no programing your voice to make it work, it does that straight out of the box
– Supports true multipoint – connect two phones at the same time and answer the one that rings.
– Up to 4 hours talk time and 100 hours standby.
– Dual Microphones and BlueAnt’s Voice Isolation Technology ensure that you are always heard, even in the noisiest of environments.

Thats just to name some of the great features of this blueooth headset from BlueAnt.

BlueAnt has made the Q1 very sleek and stylish in a black brushed metal shell that will look great no matter where you are. this headset is incredibly light weight and very comfortable as well, i hardly notice that i’m wearing it at all. The BlueAnt Q1 Bluetooth headset is 54.8mm (2.2in) in length, and only weighs a scant 10.9g (.4 oz). The Q1 has only 3 buttons on it, a single mulitfunction button to control voice commands and answer calls, as well as redial last call and toggle between the Voice Isolation levels. then theres the 2 self explanatory volume buttons along the top.

Call quality and noise reduction are top notch on this headset, it will pick up the radio is it’s too loud when you driving etc, but almost everything else gets filtered out which is great when you’re driving somewhere with a van load of kids and your mother has to call to chat about pretty much nothing at all lol.

You can buy the BlueAnt Q1 Voice from select stores or online for about $129.95 which is a steal of a price for the quality and durability of this bluetooth headset.

Thank you BlueAnt for this great product to review.
