Tie buddies Review & Giveaway

December 16, 2009

Possibly one of the most important skills we all need to learn as children is how to tie our shoes, every kid struggles with it at least a little bit but thanks to Tie Buddies this skill is now both fun and easy to learn.

We recieved a set of tie Buddies to test out and even though Chase and Blake have already learned how to tie their own shoes we had blake give it a try because he is still a little slow at it sometimes. The ones we recieved are pink so we just had him try them in the house but he was able to tie them quite a bit faster so we will continue to practice a little more at home. Maddisyn is a little young and doesnt really care at all that she can’t tie shoes but we’re still trying in hopes she might change her mind and learn how to tie them before long.

Tie Buddies™ was born in January 2007 by inventor and mother of two, Wendy Welling. As she lay next to her younger daughter, she kept thinking that there simply had to be a better way to help her children learn to tie their own shoes!
Simply slide the laces through the Tie Buddies and Voila, they hold the loop for you, which I think is the hardest part for little hands. Tie buddies have little pictures on them like race cars, or fairies and wands, in which you can create stories using them as the characters to help your child rememebr the steps of tying their shoes. You can make up your own or use one of the suggestioins found here http://tiebuddies.com/uploads/storyideas.pdf
